North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos forward Alice O'Loughlin has been named in the AFL Players' Association's 2024 AFLW 22Under22 team.
22Under22, presented by Torrens University Australia, is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season.
This is the second consecutive year O’Loughlin has featured in the 22Under22 team after being selected for the first time in 2023 on the interchange.
The 22-year-old was named in the 44-player squad earlier this month, alongside teammates Bella Eddey and Tess Craven, before fans decided on the best young talent in the AFLW to narrow it down to 22.
Her selection in the forward line follows a breakout season for the young Roo, which saw her boot 14 goals from 10 appearances during the home-and-away season, including a career-high haul of four in Week 10 against the Gold Coast Suns.
O’Loughlin, who is expected to line up in the Kangaroos’ preliminary final against Port Adelaide this Saturday afternoon, is also vying for her maiden All-Australian blazer after being named in the 2024 AFLW All-Australian squad of 42 last week.
