North Melbourne has recorded another positive financial result, announcing a 13th consecutive profit for the 2024 financial year.

The club achieved an overall consolidated operating profit before amortisation of $961,280. The overall net profit was $51,013 for the financial year ending October 31.

Total revenue increased from $50.6m in 2023 to $53.4m in 2024.

Net assets of the club are $19.2m, the same as in 2023.

A number of factors contributed to the club’s profit, notably an increase in home-game attendance at Marvel Stadium.

The 2024 season saw a five per cent increase in home-game attendance, with an average crowd of 30,500 enjoying Marvel Stadium’s redeveloped amenities.

The annual Good Friday SuperClash was a back-to-back sell-out, drawing 47,565 fans.

The club surpassed more than 50,000 members for a third consecutive year, with a total of 50,628 members signing on.

Club major partner Mazda Australia and platinum partner Spirit of Tasmania have continued in their support. Mazda Australia and North Melbourne hold one of the longest running partnerships in Australian sport and in 2024, the club and Mazda Australia celebrated 25 years of partnership.

Mazda Australia also confirmed its ongoing support of the club’s premiership-winning AFLW team, recently extending as major partner into 2025.

"To have recorded a 13th consecutive profit and continue to carry no debt is an important result for our club,” North Melbourne chief executive Jen Watt said.

"This year’s increased AFL matchday attendance and second consecutive sold-out Good Friday SuperClash is a great indicator of the level of engagement in our matchdays as we move towards an increased nine home games at Marvel Stadium from 2026 onwards. Our members and supporters continue to demonstrate their passion and commitment to the club by coming to games and purchasing memberships.

"In addition to the strong support shown by our fans, we wouldn’t be able to achieve these financial outcomes without the continued support of our commercial partners, particularly our wonderful partners in Mazda Australia and Spirit of Tasmania.

"Our ambition is to continue to grow our club revenues in order to continue to provide our four teams with an elite training facility and environment, along with attracting the very best talent to our club both on and off the field.”

The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held at 6pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
