Libby Birch will need to prove her fitness if she's to line up against Port Adelaide on Friday night, while fellow defender Lulu Pullar is a chance to feature for the first time this season.
Birch sustained a rib injury after some bruising challenges in Sunday's 50-point win over her former side Melbourne at Casey Fields.
North Melbourne senior AFLW physiotherapist Billy Williams said Birch would be assessed later this week as the Kangaroos prepare to play three games in a nine-day stretch.
"Libby has been cleared of serious injury, which is fantastic," Williams told NMFC Media.
"She'll be assessed during the week before making a call on her availability as we enter a condensed block of games."
Pullar has completed an "excellent" block of training following an interrupted pre-season due to a calf complaint. However she will need to complete a session on Wednesday if she's to be a chance of a season debut.
Defender Eliza Shannon (ankle) remains 1-2 weeks away but is "progressing nicely", Williams said.
"'Lize' is back training with the main group and building out her loads following her serious high-ankle injury and subsequent surgery.
"She shouldn't be far off putting her name up for team selection."
