Key forward Kate Shierlaw's five-goal performance against Melbourne has seen her poll a perfect 10 AFLW Champion Player of the Year Award votes from the coaches.

The spearhead slotted a career-high bag from 17 disposals and eight marks in North Melbourne's massive 50-point win over the Demons at Casey Fields on Sunday afternoon.

Continuing her impressive start to the 2024 season, Ash Riddell was the next highest-rated player on the park, earning eight votes from Kangaroos coach Darren Crocker and Demons coach Mick Stinear to jump into the No.1 spot League-wide.

The midfielder was again involved offensively, booting two goals from a game-high 32 touches, but she also had an impact on defence, laying 10 tackles.

Tenacious onballer Mia King (24 disposals, 12 tackles) received her first votes of the season, polling five after another strong display, while talented tall Emma King (31 hitouts, 10 disposals) also got off the mark with three votes.

Jasmine Garner rounded out the voting for the visitors, earning two for her performance, which included 27 disposals and seven inside 50s.
