Smooth-mover Harry Sheezel has earned 10 AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year Award votes for his classy showing in North Melbourne's four-point win over Gold Coast.
The young maestro was clinical at Marvel Stadium, extracting a game-high 10 clearances from 35 disposals while also booting a crucial major late in the third quarter from a set shot.
It was an outing that further showcased the 19-year-old's talent, as he continues to impact games regardless of the position senior coach Alastair Clarkson deploys him in.
Onballer Luke Davies-Uniacke (30 disposals, nine clearances, one goal) was next highest-rated player on the park, earning eight votes to take his season tally to 48.
Young gun Colby McKercher polled his first coaches' votes after notching a game-high 37 disposals and a memorable four-bounce run which resulted in a goal assist.
The dashing defender took home five votes, while Tristan Xerri (17 disposals, seven tackles, one goal) continued his standout season to earn three.
Veteran defender Aidan Corr (15 disposals, six intercepts) was effective in shutting down Gold Coast sharpshooter Ben King and polled one vote.
