Tyler Sellers and Liam Shiels could be in line for AFL call-ups following their performances in the first round of the VFL season.

The Kangaroos made it through their clash with the Dockers unscathed but may look to move some pieces following consecutive losses to start the year.

Sellers, who secured North Melbourne's final list spot a month ago, did his chances of making an AFL debut in the Good Friday SuperClash no harm after slotting six goals and clunking several big grabs against the Northern Bullants on Saturday afternoon.

Shiels was a key contributor in the 39-point reserves victory, finishing with seven marks, six clearances, six tackles, and a team-high 33 disposals.

He was supported by Will Phillips who also enters the selection frame after 30 possessions and six clearances.

In his first official VFL game since being drafted back in 2022, Brayden George impressed off half-back on his way to 21 touches, creating scoring opportunities from defence alongside 2023 draftee Riley Hardeman.

Forward-turned-defender Charlie Comben is also knocking on the door and could feature against the Blues after 16 disposals and seven marks on the weekend.

Veteran Hugh Greenwood was at his combative best against the Bullants, laying 14 tackles and kicking a goal, and is a potential inclusion given Carlton's strength at the contest.

Miller Bergman was a standout during the reserves' clash racking up 29 touches and eight inside 50s but suffered a fractured jaw in the process, ruling him out for at least a month.
