North Melbourne's Toby Pink will make his long-awaited AFL debut against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday.
Pink, who was first recruited to an AFL list over seven years ago, is among five Kangaroo debutants who will take on the Giants.
He joins trade period arrivals Zac Fisher and Dylan Stephens, whose Kangaroo debuts were also confirmed on Thursday, and draftees Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma, whose selections were revealed earlier in the week.
Pink, who arrived at Arden St as a delisted free agent in October, was originally recruited by Sydney in the 2016 Rookie Draft.
The 25-year-old spent three seasons on the Swans’ list without featuring at the highest level before returning home to South Australia to play in the SANFL.
The 194cm defender featured in both North Melbourne’s pre-season hitouts with Collingwood and St Kilda to book his spot for Round 1.
A top-five draft pick in 2019, midfielder Stephens played 43 games across four seasons for the Sydney Swans, including the 2022 AFL Grand Final.
The 23-year-old wasted no time making an impact after arriving at Arden St during October's trade period, leading the pack in two pre-season time trials.
Fisher, 25, swapped navy blue for royal blue and white, joining North Melbourne from Carlton during trade period.
A pocket dynamo, he kicked 53 goals in his 107 games for the Blues and delivered his best season in 2022, playing every game and doubling his career goals tally. The later rounds of the 2023 season saw Fisher trialled at half-back, where he caught the eye as a dashing rebounder.
A hamstring strain interrupted his pre-season, but he returned to impress against the Magpies and Saints.
