We’ve approached the halfway mark of 2015 already, and for North Melbourne it means a clash with the side which knocked it out of the 2014 finals series.

Heading into the match against Sydney, the Kangaroos had probably their busiest VFL weekend of the season. It means there are multiple options to choose from at selection.

Have your say on any potential changes in the comments section below.

Midfielders

In his first VFL game for four years, Shaun Atley impressed playing through the midfield. Approaching the afternoon with the aim of taking the game on, the 22-year-old did just that and could be in line for a recall under the roof at Etihad Stadium.

Two left-footers could also be in contention to add some outside play and complement the Roos’ contested work, which was impressive against the Eagles at Blundstone.

Aaron Mullett appeared almost back to top form in the VFL, while Mason Wood enjoyed a weekend’s rest as the game-day emergency on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Leigh Adams successfully completed a full game for Werribee, collecting 16 disposals.

Forwards

Kayne Turner was ‘outstanding’ in the second half of Werribee’s big win on Saturday.

Turner’s tackling and work at ground level in the forward line was rewarded with 16 disposals, six tackles and two goals.

His forward teammate in Majak Daw suffered a heavy fall and left the field with a suspected concussion before half-time, robbing him of the opportunity to continue the form which had him pushing for a North recall.

Defenders

Luke McDonald responded to his omission by turning in what was labelled as a ‘terrific’ game by senior development coach Gavin Brown.

The second-year player was able to defend well and also offer Werribee plenty when going the other way, a trait that would be extremely valuable against the Swans on Saturday night.
