North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos trio Jasmine Garner, Ash Riddell and Alice O’Loughlin have been selected in the 2024 AFLW All-Australian team, with the former also named captain of the star-studded side.
One of the most decorated players in the competition, Garner received All-Australian honours for the seventh time when the final team of 21 was revealed at the W Awards on Monday night.
It follows another dominant campaign by Garner, which saw her average 25.8 disposals, 7.4 tackles and 5.5 clearances per game, and kick 13 goals.
It is also the second time she has been awarded the All-Australian captaincy, previously receiving the honour in 2022 (Season 7).
Riddell earned her fourth All-Australian blazer, while O’Loughlin’s selection in the team marks her first.
Leading the Kangaroos’ engine room alongside Garner, Riddell averaged 29 disposals, 6.7 tackles and 5.3 score involvements across the home-and-away season.
O’Loughlin’s inclusion on the interchange follows a breakout year for the young Roo, which saw her kick 14 goals from 10 appearances, including a career-high haul of four in Week 10 against the Gold Coast Suns.
Kangaroos forward Kate Shierlaw and defender Sarah Wright missed out on the final team after being named in the 42-player squad earlier this month.
