The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos and Spirit of Tasmania have extended their partnership for a further three seasons.
A platinum partner since the side's inaugural season in 2019, Spirit of Tasmania will continue to proudly feature on the back of the women's guernsey, coaches' apparel and media backdrop and be prominent on matchdays in both Tasmania and Melbourne through signage and activations.
They will also support the club's Freestyle – Women in Trades program, which aims to attract, retain, support and empower young women and non-binary people in the building and construction sector.
The partnership extension aligns with Spirit of Tasmania's support of the club's AFL side, which also runs until the end of 2025 after inking a new three-year deal late last year.
The Kangaroos will play two home games in Tasmania this season, one each in Hobart and Launceston, with the club's total commitment across its men's and women's programs totalling six games.
North Melbourne chief executive officer Jennifer Watt said the partnership extension supported the club's ongoing connection across Tasmania.
"We are delighted to have Spirit of Tasmania on board as a partner of our AFLW side for three more seasons," she said.
"The support of Spirit of Tasmania has been an important driver in connecting our AFLW side with the Tasmanian community since 2019.
"We currently have three Tasmanians in our AFLW program – Nicole Bresnehan, Ellie Gavalas and Mia King – and we look forward to helping inspire the next crop of Tasmanian talent through our continued work with Spirit of Tasmania."
Spirit of Tasmania managing director and chief executive officer Bernard Dwyer said the importance of the brand recognition delivered by the association with the North Melbourne Football Club in its key market of Victoria could not be underestimated.
"The flow on benefits for the Tasmanian community and the local economy via games played in the state are also critical considerations for the company," he said.
"Spirit of Tasmania has a long-standing partnership with North Melbourne and is very pleased that it will continue through the club's AFLW program."
The Kangaroos will kick off their 2023 campaign at Blundstone Arena this Sunday, September 3.
