North Melbourne first-year sensation Harry Sheezel has been selected in the AFL Players' Association 22under22 44-man squad.
The 22under22 team is a fan-voted concept that recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the season.
Sheezel, 18, has made a stellar start to his career with an average of 26.6 disposals, 5.4 marks and 434.1 metres gained across his first 20 games.
For a player to be eligible to be selected in the squad they must have played a minimum of 12 games throughout 2023.
Chair of Selectors, Michael Barlow, and an internal selection panel at the AFL Players’ Association have selected the squad of 44 players, with support from Champion Data.
The squad was only 40 players in previous years but has been increased to 44 in 2023 due the number of quality candidates.
Fans have the opportunity to decide the final 22 by voting on the 22under22 platform.
The fan whose team best matches to the final team wins their choice of either Apple AirPodsPro or Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, thanks to Snaffle.
Voting is open for seven days from Thursday, August 10 to Thursday, August 17. The final team will be announced on Wednesday, August 23.
