North Melbourne key forward Nick Larkey recently returned to his old stomping ground at Hawthorn Citizens Junior Football Club to help give back and coach its Under 15's team for a training session.
Sharpshooter Larkey, who reached the 50-goal milestone in Round 20 of the AFL, was thrilled to see so many smiling faces at his former home.
"It was great to see the place, I haven't been down here since I played," he said.
"It was awesome to see a couple of old Auburn Primary School kids as well.
"To be on the ground again and in the rooms, it was nostalgic."
Larkey said he was still close friends with a lot of former teammates at the club where he played until Under 15's.
He also said he had fond memories of reaching a preliminary final and recalled kicking a bag of eight during his time at Victoria Road Reserve.
As part of the visit, Dulux donated five brand new Sherrins to Hawthorn Citizens JFC.
"It's awesome, they are the same ones we train with at North," Larkey said.
"You could see how much the kids loved it as we were handing them around, they are elite footies."
