While the $16 million redevelopment of Arden Street continues to take shape, North Melbourne's search for a Learning and Life Centre Manager has just begun.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of the Learning and Life Centre project, which aims to create a unique and rewarding community/sports club relationship.

The Centre will host innovative and effective programs for school and community organisations and include access to meeting rooms, a theatrette, indoor sports stadium and a modern, open educational facility.

North CEO Eugene Arocca said the role is a crucial one for the club.

"We have been working hard to engage the local community and the Learning and Life Centre Manager will lead the charge in this area," Arocca said.

"What we are creating will be a world first in terms of a sporting club and its players' direct engagement with the community. There are plenty of challenges ahead and we need someone with the experience and attitude to take them on."

Applications should be sent to Eugene Arocca by May 29th, click here to download the position description.
