kangaroos.com.au says:
The pre-season started well for McIntosh. Full of run after two achilles operations, he starred in the ruck and as a key forward. To cap off the season opener, McIntosh infamously missed a shot after the siren which could have given the Kangaroos the win. In his trademark style he fronted the media in the days following and was happy to tell his side of events.
In the weeks following, McIntosh was serviceable until he injured his knee against the Western Bulldogs in Round 7. Then, on the verge of a comeback, he re-injured his knee.
By the time he was cleared to return to action the ruckman had to make his way back through the VFL with Werribee. Despite a promising return, he pulled up sore and was sent to have LARS surgery in an effort to be fit and firing for the start of the 2013 pre-season.
