Following North’s third win in its last four matches, the Roos were up and about.
These are the players’ thoughts on the victory against Melbourne.
Nathan Hrovat
“It was really satisfying to get the win, after last week especially. We obviously didn’t get the result we wanted and we got hunted, we thought.
“We thought we were really hard at the contest, especially after the second quarter. It was good to finish the game off.
“It was a great team effort.”

Ben Brown
“It was fantastic to get the points, that was what we came out here to do.
“It’s always good to play out on the G, everyone dreams of that when they’re a kid. We don’t get that many opportunities to get out there, and whenever we get a chance to come to the G it is a pretty special occasion.
“We started the game really well, then the second quarter we were off the boil a little bit. It was good to come out after half time and really stick hard at it.”

Mason Wood
“It was great to stand up. In previous games we sort of haven’t when teams have come back at us.
“We’ll take massive pride in that we’ve held our own when they came hard in that last quarter and we kicked a few and kicked away.
“It’s great development for us.”

Jamie Macmillan
- to RSN Racing and Sport about Ben Cunnington’s performance
“I looked over and I actually saw the replay of it and I thought he’d done his knee for sure.
“It’s every footballer’s worst nightmare, you go down with a knee and straight away you think you’ve done your ACL.
“He was probably no different and he spent a good 10 to 15 (minutes) off the ground and came back and was probably our most influential performer in a game that was certainly in tight and hard and he led the way for us."
