Three Kangaroos have polled Coaches' MVP Award votes for their efforts against a strong Casey line-up in Round 9.

In a valiant effort away from home, North Melbourne kept the Demons on their toes with six final-quarter goals, but the reigning premiers held firm to claim a 15-point victory.

Young midfielder Charlie Lazzaro was the highest-rated Roo from the perspectives of North Melbourne coach Tom Lynch and Casey coach Taylor Whitford.

Lazzaro amassed seven tackles, six inside 50s and a game-high 33 disposals, and also kicked a classy goal to claim five votes.

Experienced onballer Ben Cunnington was relentless at stoppages and claimed 17 clearances and 32 disposals to earn four votes, while emerging forward Cooper Harvey booted a bag of five goals to receive two.

Casey's Daniel Turner was awarded the maximum 10 votes and his AFL-listed teammates James Jordan and Adam Tomlinson polled five and four respectively.

North Melbourne's VFL side will head over to the AIA Centre to take on Collingwood this Sunday afternoon, with bouncedown scheduled for 11.05am (AEST).
