Petrie rested, Wells back
While two big names will be missing from the North Melbourne side set to take on the Bulldogs in Ballarat on Sunday, the club has opted to bring in some equally
Drew Petrie will be rested for the third round pre-season clash along with Lachie Hansen, but as reported yesterday, Daniel Wells has been named.
The silky smooth midfielder is joined in the squad by Sam Wright who has battled foot and shoulder injuries, Cruize Garlett who has been hampered by back problems and Luke Delaney who has now recovered from an injured ankle.
Proven ball winner Liam Anthony returns for another hit-out and Gavin Urquhart may get his first chance to shine after being demoted in the off-season to the rookie list.
Despite being out of the side, kangaroos.com.au understands hometown hero Petrie will still travel to Ballarat to meet locals and support the team on Sunday. Hansen will be given time to rest up before the final NAB Cup match next week.
It’s the second time in as many years the club’s have faced off at Eureka Stadium.
The Bulldogs have decided to rest Matthew Boyd, Daniel Cross, Will Minson, Adam Cooney and Robert Murphy.
kangaroos.com.au will be providing live scores and stats from Eureka Stadium during Sunday's match.
