There is set to be at least two changes to the North side this week; Lindsay Thomas has been ruled out due to suspension and Kayne Turner could miss up to a month due to a hamstring injury.

It means the good form of those in the VFL is set to be rewarded against the Saints on Sunday.

Have your say on the team in the comments below.

Forwards

With one spot on the senior list still free, Robbie Nahas could be a promotion to fill the small forward vacancy left in North’s 22.

Coming off a string of solid performances for Werribee, Nahas’ pressure would be vital to continue the style of play which has served the Roos so well in the first six rounds.

Meanwhile Mason Wood has done everything possible to earn a recall. Werribee coach John Lamont labelled the left-footer ‘above the standard of play at times’, and he finished with four goals and 23 disposals on Saturday.

Wood was arguably unlucky to be omitted from the North side initially, with weather conditions playing their part in Round 5.

Defenders

Although he spent parts of Werribee’s last match rotating through the wing, Aaron Mullett is more than capable of stepping back into the North side and playing off half-back.

While racking up over 30 disposals, Mullett’s defensive work also came in for praise in Werribee's victory.

Brad McKenzie has flown under the radar in the past fortnight, collecting another 27 disposals last week as the quarterback setting up the Tigers' rebound.

Against a St Kilda side which relishes the pressure and forcing turnovers, McKenzie’s poise by foot could be valuable.

Midfielders

Another 30+ disposal game could have Trent Dumont in the minds of the match committee.

After being on the fringe of the AFL side to start the season, the vagaries of the fixture has meant less game time for the midfielder in the last few weeks. Now back in the swing of things, his ball-winning ways add to the club’s depth.
