North Melbourne VFL forward Sam Lowson has been awarded nine Coaches' MVP Award votes for his efforts against Port Melbourne in the opening round of the season.
The Kangaroos fell to the Borough by 20 points at Arden Street Oval, but Lowson's five-goal and 18-disposal outing saw him come away with the most votes for the match.
In his debut at the level, Blake Drury received two votes after gathering 26 disposals off half-back.
Nash Holmes (six votes), Sam Naismith (five), Archi Manton (three), Fraser Rosman (three) and Matthew Signorello (two) all polled for the visitors.
North Melbourne's VFL team will host Southport on Saturday with bouncedown scheduled for 11.05am (AEDT) at Arden Street Oval.
