It will be a case of the master versus the apprentice on Saturday, with Todd Goldstein and former teammate Daniel Currie facing off.

Currie will be making his Suns’ debut against the Kangaroos, with the home side likely to play two genuine ruckmen for the first time this season.

“I think there’s a little bit extra in it,” Currie said of the prospect of facing his old teammates.

“(I’ve) Obviously got a lot of good mates there and when I left there I felt on pretty good terms, but all that goes out the window for that few hours on Saturday.”

Currie’s knowledge of Goldstein, gleaned from hours and hours on the training track, could prove valuable for the Suns this weekend.

“Last year he (Goldstein) obviously took his game to a new level. You almost say he doesn’t have a weakness in his game.

“He’s a complete package really, so just trying to negate his influence on the weekend and just try and take it to him.”
