The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos will head into Saturday's massive semi-final with an unchanged line-up, following last week's gritty win over Geelong to stay alive in the finals series.

Now, a spot in a preliminary final awaits the Roos who are looking to take another leap towards a maiden AFLW premiership.

Standing in their way, however, is a Richmond side that will be eager to amend its 17-point qualifying final defeat to Brisbane.

Nothing could split the two clubs when they last encountered one another just 13 days ago, with a thrilling draw concluding each side's home and away campaign, albeit in an unfavourable way for the Kangaroos.

North Melbourne remains undefeated against the black and yellow through four occasions, however, and will have the valuable experience and composure of Emma Kearney and Kim Rennie in its line-up this time around which wasn't the case back in Round 10.

Last week saw the Roos stand tall amid the pressure and tension that comes with finals football, and the same 21 players have been backed in again to get the job done.

Speedy small forward Zoe Savarirayan will make her return to the squad as an emergency after a two-game absence due to year 12 exams.

Joining her as emergencies are defender Danielle Hardiman and key forward Sophia McCarthy, who both retain their spots in the extended squad.

Those unavailable for selection were Grace Campbell (knee), Perri King (finger), Cassidy Mailer (bone stress - leg) and Erika O'Shea (eye).
