North Melbourne has officially welcomed Griffin Logue and Darcy Tucker to the club.
North Melbourne and Fremantle completed the trade today after the duo requested trades to Arden St prior to the 2022 Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.
The Kangaroos receive Logue, Tucker and a future third-round selection in exchange for a future second round (AFL special assistance), future third round (AFL special assistance) and a future fourth-round selection.
A natural defender, Logue was drafted by the West Australian club with pick No.8 in the 2016 AFL Draft and went on to play 64 games after making his debut in 2017.
In his most productive campaign to date, 2022 saw Logue play 20 games - the most he recorded in any season at Fremantle - and finish sixth in the Dockers’ best and fairest count.
Playing as a forward through the back half of the year, Logue booted two goals in the semi-final loss to Collingwood and he particularly stood out in Round 9 when he gathered a career-high 29 disposals, 17 intercepts and 11 marks against the Suns.

The 24-year-old's athleticism and ability to shut down all types of attacking threats will add another dimension to North's growing backline.
Tucker, 25, joined Fremantle from Horsham as the 27th pick in the 2015 AFL Draft and amassed 108 games, including 14 in 2022. Tucker kicked 35 goals in the purple and white, playing through the centre and half-back lines.
A big-bodied, versatile midfielder, Tucker’s move will see him return back to his home state of Victoria.
“Griffin and Darcy are a fantastic fit for our club and we are really pleased to have finalised this deal early in the trade period,” North Melbourne’s list and recruiting manager Brady Rawlings said.
“On-field they both provide great versatility, skill and football maturity. Off-field, they are young guys of high character and are eager to contribute to making our club better.”
