The Western Bulldogs will look to recall three key players for Saturday night's clash against North Melbourne.

Dale Morris, Matthew Boyd and Matthew Suckling will likely be named in the Bulldogs' 22 if they get through training this week.

Morris emerged unscathed from a weekend training run, while Boyd and Suckling are still to prove their fitness.

“They’ve both come in today and they’ve both trained over the weekend, so we’ll assess them through this week of training with a view to being available for selection this weekend," Bulldogs' General Manager Football Graham Lowe said.

The news isn't so good for midfielders Tom Liberatore and Jackson Macrae, with the pair sidelined due to injury.

Liberatore suffered a syndesmosis injury to his left ankle during the second quarter of last Friday's loss to Geelong.

He underwent surgery to stabilise his ankle, with the club hopeful he'll return for finals.

Macrae will also look to get back for September, despite suffering a hamstring injury.
