North will receive Hawthorn’s end of first round compensation pick (received from the Gold Coast for Campbell Brown) and pick 71 from Hawthorn in exchange for Hale and pick 52.
Hale played 129 games and kicked 119 goals with the Kangaroos since joining the club via the 2001 National Draft.
Hale has been a magnificent player during his time at Arden Street and is highly respected among players and staff.
