A versatile midfielder out of Sturt, Powell has grown into a damaging onballer at senior level after going in the first round of the 2020 AFL Draft.
The No.24 is a smooth mover with high-level decision making and ability to impact games on the inside and outside of contests.

2024: In his fourth season, Powell locked down his spot in midfield and posted career-best numbers following an explosive first three weeks that saw him boot three goals and record disposal tallies of 26, 28 and 29.
He unleashed an audacious torpedo from the centre square in Round 17 which became the unofficial goal assist of the year, and tallied a career-high 34 possessions in Round 20 against Geelong.
Powell reached 50 AFL games in Round 5, played in every match for the first time in his career and finished fifth in the Syd Barker Medal.
