Quotes
"The big boys down there are playing really good footy, so I've just got to continue on from last week and play for however long it takes until I can squeeze my way back in.” – Hansen on working his way back into the North side
“To have the ability to play both forward and back is handy. Hopefully when I can get back into the ones it’s at either end.” – Hansen in August after spending time at both ends in the VFL
What the coach said – Development Manager Ben Dyer
“For Hanners it was good to get a bit of continuity back in his game at the lower level before he got his chance to come back into the ones.
“Given the way his last couple of years have gone, that was pretty important to get him out on the park.
“He’s good to have down back because he’s experienced and particularly in terms of the alignment he can play a pretty big role in setting up your back six.
“With him and Tippo (Joel Tippett) as the deep defenders, they set up well. It was about getting games into him so he could fit back in to the AFL side when the chance came. And he did that pretty well.
“He had a couple of really good games and his intercept marking at VFL level is pretty good.”
