A bye for North Ballarat means Werribee is the only VFL affiliate in action this weekend.

After a narrow loss to Williamstown and a tough week on the cards, the Tigers come up against home-side Box Hill on Saturday afternoon.

The last time the sides met, there were plenty of fireworks with Majak Daw reported for a heavy spoiling attempt on former Kangaroo Daniel Pratt.

Werribee will also have an eye on Thursday’s Foxtel Cup match against Claremont which has the club contending with a jam packed schedule. Two matches in six days as well as a trip to Perth will be sure to test their capabilities.

No Tigers will be filling emergency roles for North Melbourne’s clash with Melbourne at Etihad and the availability of Hamish McIntosh means they’ll be fielding a strong team. McIntosh hasn’t played since injuring his knee against the Bulldogs in Round 7 and up to 11 Kangaroos could run out at Box Hill City Oval.

Meanwhile Box Hill will be without Luke Hodge who is expected to line-up for Hawthorn.
