The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos have strengthened their draft hand after completing a trade with the GWS Giants.
The deal will see defender Jasmine Grierson depart the Kangaroos in exchange for pick 28 in the National Draft (pick 17 in Victorian pool).
North AFLW list and performance manager, Rhys Harwood, said the deal added flexibility in the draft.
“We are keen on strengthening our list, not just for next season but for years to come,” Harwood said.
“This puts us in a great position to secure some top-end talent in this year’s draft.
“We want to thank Jas for her contribution to the club.
“She has been involved in our leadership programs and has represented the players as an AFLPA delegate during her time with us.
“She has been an incredible role model on and off the field and we wish her all the best at the Giants.”
Grierson played 19 games for the Kangaroos.
