Three wins from North’s last four matches has competition for spots at a high as it prepares to face Carlton.
In a departure from the norm, it’ll be the first time the two sides meet during the day since all the way back in 2008.
Midfielders
After missing last week due to a concussion, Trent Dumont is available for selection. The 21-year-old had played each of the first eight games before being unavailable against the Demons.
Ben Jacobs made a spectacular return to VFL seniors action, amassing 43 disposals at Eureka Stadium on Saturday. He could potentially be an inclusion to tag one of Carlton’s top-line midfielders.
Declan Mountford has been North’s game-day emergency for the last fortnight, indicating he’s close to an AFL game. Meanwhile if the Roos opt for two ruckmen, Braydon Preuss would be first on the list for a recall.
Forwards
Jed Anderson missed the win against Melbourne due to a foot injury, but will only have to get through a test to be available for selection this week.
Majak Daw kicked three goals for Werribee on the weekend, and has now played two consecutive matches after returning from injury.
Defenders
Mitch Hibberd has been consistently winning the ball playing across half-back for Werribee, adding another 24 disposals to his tally against North Ballarat.
The 24 adds to the 23, 23 and 28 the Roo accumulated in the three prior weeks. If North looks to an extra key position defender, Sam Durdin was reliable again for the Tigers in the VFL on the weekend.
