North Melbourne and Firrito accepted a one-match sanction for the charge of engaging in rough conduct against Ryan O'Keefe of the Sydney Swans during the second quarter of Saturday's game.

The AFL advised on Monday of the Match Review Panel's findings from the incident.

'Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from Sydney, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing bad record of 93.75 points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 218.75 points and a two-match sanction.'

Firrito's early plea reduced the penalty by 25 per cent to 164.06 points and a one-match sanction.
