Drew Petrie gets coaches top votes
Drew Petrie’s five-goal haul was enough to earn him the top nod from the coaches.
The vice-captain registered nine votes in the AFL Coaches Association’s award, managing to have a big impact on the outcome of the game despite having to compete with the Giants’ spare men back.
While he finished the match with only 11 possessions, Petrie was able to pull down six marks and kick five majors.
Meanwhile, Lachlan Hansen’s best form has come in defence in the last month, and his 24 disposals and 12 marks was enough for five votes.
Brent Harvey also registered five. The veteran booted three goals and had 24 touches, while Scott Thompson continued his outstanding season in defence and was handed four.
Sam Gibson, Ryan Bastinac, Lindsay Thomas and Daniel Wells completed a sweep of the votes for North Melbourne players.
