A best-on-ground performance in the VFL has earned defender Mitch Hibberd a senior recall.
The 20-year-old will get a chance to play just his second AFL game on Saturday afternoon – his first coming in the opening game of the 2017 season against West Coast.
Against the Bulldogs last week at Whitten Oval, the hard-running Tasmanian was outstanding for Werribee and did everything in his power to keep the side in the game.
Corey Wagner will also get another chance to shine at the highest level after making a successful comeback from an ankle injury.
Although he only played five minutes, the small-forward impressed in Round 7 against Adelaide and Brad Scott has been itching to get him back in the side ever since.
The pair replaces Ben Cunnington and Trent Dumont (managed), while Lindsay Thomas has been named as an emergency.
