North Melbourne has announced its VFLW leadership group on the eve of its season-opener against Port Melbourne.
Tasmanian born, Meagan Kiely, will lead the group, supported by Nikki Wallace as vice-captain.
Molly Eastman, Megan Lawrence and Brooke Slaney round out the leadership group.
North VFLW coach Cheyne Webster said he was excited with the leadership qualities the group brings.
“Each one of these girls has shown great leadership and determination throughout the preseason,” Webster said.
“The girls can’t wait to get out there tomorrow after missing so much football last year.
“We’ve all been working really hard towards this season and are looking forward to putting it in action against Port Melbourne.”
