Hamish McIntosh has passed his first test with flying colours after getting through Saturday's VFL match with Werribee unscathed.

The North ruckman was playing his first match since injuring his knee in Round 7 against the Western Bulldogs, and had 13 touches in the Tigers' 18-point triumph over Box Hill.

In around 70 minutes of game-time, McIntosh teamed up well with Majak Daw (13 disposals, 7 marks) to convincingly beat the Hawks' ruck combination at Box Hill City Oval. North Melbourne medical staff will closely monitor McIntosh throughout the week to determine if he'll be given the green light to play in Werribee's Foxtel Cup clash with Claremont in Perth on Thursday.

With the Kangaroos sweating on the fitness of Leigh Adams and Scott McMahon for their upcoming Round 19 encounter with the Dogs, Brad Scott will take solace in the fact several other VFL combatants had solid hit-outs including Levi Greenwood.

The in-and-under midfielder has had a frustrating year but bounced back with 29 possessions in a typically 'bullocking' game according to development coach John Lamont which included 'a lot of quick kicks from stoppages'.

Ayden Kennedy could be selected to replace McMahon if need be after collecting 13 disposals and slotting an outstanding goal from beyond the 50 metre arc. The young forward-cum-defender has been in fine touch for the Tigers and a possible AFL debut could be just around the corner.

The two Ben's, Warren (11 disposals) and McKinley (12 disposals) continued to fire in front of goal kicking 2 goals apiece while Ben Speight (15 disposals) was more active after a quiet outing last week.

Lamont said Cam Pedersen (14 disposals) gave some 'important efforts forward and in the ruck', with Will Sierakowski (17 disposals) continuing to add run and carry. Malcolm Lynch (11 disposals) was unable to have a big impact on the game and fellow rookie Brad Mangan (9 disposals) defended well.

Werribee will fly out of Melbourne on Wednesday to Perth.
