Jy Simpkin is officially the 2km time trial king of Arden St, once again finishing at the front of the pack on Wednesday morning.

Simpkin was a convincing winner when the first-to-fourth years ran before Christmas, and he defended his title against the full group.

Ex-Collingwood defender Flynn Appleby, who is training with the club in the hope of landing a list spot through the Supplementary Selection Period, finished second.

Tasmanian rookie Patrick Walker impressed as he finished third.

Lachie Young and Josh Walker rounded out the top five.
