Watch out for Ben Cunnington; that’s the message from North midfielder Jack Ziebell, who’s watched his team-mate give his all on the training track over the Summer.

“He’s had a really, really strong pre-season which is pleasing for Ben and the other midfielders, and for North Melbourne fans as well,” he told NMFC.com.au.

While Ziebell is touch and go for the first round of the NAB Cup as he recovers from a minor knee injury, Cunnington’s form on the track suggests he’s fired up and ready to pick up on where he left off.

“At training he’s very hard to touch. He’s got a very nice side-step and he’s growing in confidence in every session, which is really pleasing to seeing he had such a good second half of the season last year.

“… to be able to put that into a pre-season and run his best times… as well as competing really well in all the competitive stuff; that’s what he’s born to do.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing him in the NAB Cup and Round 1.”

Ziebell’s ambitions for 2013, his recovery from injury and the improvement of Robbie Tarrant are all on the agenda in an NMFC.com.au video interview. Coming soon.
