Ben Cunnington will make his return to football after dealing with private family issues over the past month.

The midfielder will be a welcome return for the Roos and comes into the side as the only change to the team that beat GWS last week.

Cunnington will replace Lindsay Thomas, with the small forward set to miss the next fortnight due to suspension.  He hasn't played since Round 11 and missed games against the Dockers in Perth and Giants in Melbourne.

Not known as a forward, Cunnington's inclusion means Thomas's role could be divided up between players such as Leigh Adams and Brent Harvey.  However Cunnington has shown an ability to go forward kicking 7 goals for the year and booting 3 against Adelaide.

Majak Daw, Will Sierakowski and Jordan Gysberts have been named as emergencies for Saturday afternoon's match.
