First half review – Gavin Brown
“He’s a very reliable defender. He’ll take the talls and do the job. We trust him down there to win the one-on-ones because he excels at that.
“He’s working on rounding his game out offensively and getting involved.”
Second half review – Ben Dyer
“We tried to get him to the best key forward every week, which meant he played on guys like Jesse White, Nathan Vardy, and even Lech Featherstone who was VFL team of the year in 2014.
“He had some good opponents and held up really well. It was good for him to play in Round 23 and get Vickery again, as he had in the VFL.
“The fact that Taz (Robbie Tarrant) had the year he did made it hard for ‘Tippo’, but if he was required at AFL level, he would have been coming in off the back of very good VFL form.”
