North Melbourne will notch up a special milestone on Sunday night, with the match against Gold Coast set to be its 2000th in the VFL/AFL.
North started life in the VFL with an 8-point win over Geelong in 1925, and after 1999 games, it holds an 887-1095 win/loss record, with 17 draws.
Since their inception, the Roos have won four premierships (1975, 1977, 1996, 1999), with some of the greatest players to have played the game calling the club home.
Remarkably, VFL/AFL games record holder Brent Harvey has played in 21.6% of all North games.
