Every week, we'll be heading into the archive to recap some of the great games throughout North Melbourne's rich history.

This week, we take you back to Round 3, 2016, and a memorable match against Melbourne at Blundstone Arena. 

North Melbourne had gotten off to a strong start to its 2016 campaign, when it took on the Demons at its home away from home, in Hobart.

At 2-0 compared to Melbourne's 1-1 on the season, the Roos burst out of the blocks with eight first quarter goals. 

Todd Goldstein was on fire with three majors in the opening term, as a big breeze played into North's favour.

Of course, Melbourne hit back in the second, and led by seven points at the main change.

The Demons fought hard to stay within striking distance in the premiership quarter and going with the breeze, just 18 points down, looked the favourites.

The rest, as they say, is history. In the end, the game was decided with one final moment of madness.
