Adelaide key-defender Tom Doedee will miss Saturday's clash against North Melbourne.
Matthew Nicks confirmed the news in his weekly media conference, with a hamstring injury ruling out the stand-in skipper.
"Tommy Doedee will miss (this week)," Nicks said.
"We don't want to take a risk there coming off a long term injury. A six-day break, it's just not worth risking Tom."
The Crows' coach confirmed classy on-baller Bryce Gibbs would play his first AFL game since round one.
"I think last week we spoke about how he performed on the field ... we've been really pleased with what he's done off the field," Nicks added.
"We felt his performance on the weekend was enough to warrant selection."
