North Melbourne's win against Geelong threw up some interesting statistics.
1. Sam Wright held Steve Johnson goalless and under 15 disposals for only the third time since 2006 and the first time since the 2009 Grand Final.
2. The 20.11.131 scored by North in the 17-point victory was its highest score against Geelong since Round 19 of 2001.
3. Round 19 of 2001 was also North's previous win against Geelong at Etihad Stadium.
4. Perhaps a high scoring game should have been expected. In the six matches at Etihad Stadium before Sunday, all teams had scored over 100 in all but one game.
