He was a solid performer in the NAB Cup and his outstanding work-rate was rewarded with round one selection.
Warren played the first seven games of the season but found himself on the outer soon after despite kicking two goals against Collingwood.
It took him until round 12 to break back into the side, and this time he wasn't going to let the chance slip, only a back injury late in the season caused a minor interruption as he kicked three goals against both Essendon and West Coast to finish the season strongly.
AFL.com.au’s Steve Lavell says: Played 16 games in a promising campaign, but was twice dropped to the VFL. Is certainly capable of playing at the level, but needs to be more than a support act in the forward line. Lacks nothing in hardness.
