Bryce Lewis: Cameron Joyce had again identified that Taylor fitted the bill of the small back we've been lacking, that player who can really lock onto an opposition player and shut him down. Taylor's a Melbourne boy and he's still only 20 and he gets another chance.

Donald McDonald: Cam Joyce had done a terrific job with Alex McDonald (Hine's manager). We negotiated a deal with them and they just had to hold their line. It's such a long waiting period for them and he's really going to add to our group.
