Young guns KNOW footy
North Melbourne youngsters Shaun Atley and Ben Mabon will be sharing their knowledge of the game with Northern Lights’ members and friends at Friday night’s KNO
The pair will talk about their experiences at an AFL club and the rules and skills of Australian Rules to provide a better understanding of the game.
The Northern Lights, North’s women’s supporters’ group has been running KNOWING Footy events since to 2005 to give members an insight into the inner workings of a professional AFL club. This year’s event will take a look at a player’s early days in footy, from the Draft to playing at the highest level.
AFL Umpire Justin Schmitt and North Melbourne assistant coach Shane Watson will join the players to speak about the many facets of the game on and off the field.
General Manager of the Huddle, Dr. Sonja Hood, will also speak about the club’s community programs as we take a look around North’s innovative and educational community facilities.
