The Western Bulldogs will be without Easton Wood for Sunday's clash against North Melbourne after he was ruled out with a hamstring injury.

“Unfortunately in the third quarter (against Collingwood) Easton has done a grade one hamstring, confirmed today with a scan and he will miss three weeks,” Bulldogs Medical Services Manager Andrew McKenzie said on Monday.

Key-defender Lukas Markovic and raking left-footer Christian Howard could be in the mix for selection, if they pass fitness tests later in the week.

"We expect Markovic, (with) a full week on the track and going well he'll play this week, and with Christian Howard he's back into training. He's been out a little bit longer so we'll assess him over the week, but he's in to full training which is great news."
