Buchanan and Staker to Lions, Seaby a Swan
THE BRISBANE Lions are set to acquire 2005 Sydney premiership player Amon Buchanan and the Sydney Swans will gain West Coast Eagles ruckman Mark Seaby in a deal
It is understood West Coast's Brent Staker will also head to the Lions as part of the deal and Lion Bradd Dalziell will shift to West Coast.
Draft picks are also likely to be exchanged.
Although the final details are yet to be finalised, Swans coach Paul Roos confirmed on the first morning of trade week that Buchanan would be moving north and Seaby would move to the harbour city.
"It's a good opportunity for him (Buchanan). We had some discussion with him at the end of the year - both us and Amon were undecided - should he stay at Sydney or should he go," Roos said.
"He's a premiership player and a fantastic player, but probably his past couple of years he's been battling a little bit.
"Brisbane was interested, so we were happy to facilitate that, which means we can get [West Coast's Mark] Seaby in."
