Counting on the law
North Melbourne CEO Eugene Arocca has extended an invite to all North Melbourne members in the legal or accounting professions to come together and form a new s
“I think it would be great to identify such people with specific skill sets in these areas to help assist the club from time to time, but also to network and connect with each other as we all have something in common,” Arocca told kangaroos.com.au.
“We have had access to a fantastic North Melbourne lawyer Andrew Harris for close to ten years now. He does everything from drafting contracts to sponsoring the club and is invaluable.”
The gathering of high powered legal and accounting professionals would be unique, but containing them all in one room could be an issue with the vast numbers in the North system.
“Of the members who have identified their profession, there is close to 500 involved in accounting and more than 130 in the law. I suspect we also have a few Kangaroo loving judges out there too.”
Arocca himself worked as a lawyer with Maurice Blackburn for more than 20-years and was one of Victoria’s leading litigation specialists when he retired.
Any members of the legal and accounting profession interested in being a part of the group should email their expressions of interest to josh.eaton@kangaroos.com.au.
