He might have missed out in 2007, but North Melbourne's Aaron Edwards is officially in the running for the Hungry Jack's Mark of the Year in 2010.

The 26 year-old pulled down two screamers against Essendon in round 17 and his huge fly over Heath Hocking earned him a nomination.

Edwards polled 42% of the vote, ahead of Hawthorn's Michael Osborne (37%) and the Bombers' Kyle Hardingham (21%).

Three finalists will be selected at the end of the season with the winning player taking home the Alex Jesaulenko Medal.

After falling out of favour with selectors in the middle part of the season, Edwards has fought back strongly and looks to have secured his spot in the absence of Drew Petrie.
