He’s been an idol to so many during his 17-years at North Melbourne, and that fact doesn’t change even when a new generation visits Aegis Park.

The numbers 7 (Jack Ziebell), 9 (Andrew Swallow) and 20 (Drew Petrie) were scattered on jumpers throughout the crowd, but one number stood out the most - 29.

Around one-thousand kids were on a hand for a lesson on the basics of football at the annual Harvey’s Heroes Clinic - an inclusion in the junior membership package.

Bumping, handballing and kicking were on the agenda, but the most popular drill was of course the goal-kicking, a favourite for even the players themselves on the day.

Parents lined the fences with cameras to capture the smiles on their children’s faces, and got a chance to meet the stars themselves at the end of the day for autographs and photos.

It was a day to remember for many, and now the countdown begins until the next event in a year’s time.
